I began my career at Ellis Bates in 2016 as a Paraplanning Administrator. I was encouraged to do my exams and am now Diploma qualified and managing the Paraplanning Team, which I really enjoy! The Recruitment Process
The process varies depending upon the level of the role applied for, but typically it will involve an initial telephone screening with the HR Manager. If successful, you will be invited to a second competency-based interview with the departmental Manager and the HR Manager. Depending upon the level of the role a personality questionnaire and some psychometric tests may be undertaken as part of this second stage.
Trainee Financial Planner
To participate fully on the fast-track Trainee Adviser Programme and become a fully qualified Adviser professional within two-three years. You will be gaining hands-on experience of dealing with the financial affairs of a wide range of our clients. This will involve working closely with our financial advisers, assisting them in researching and report writing. Attaining the relevant professional qualifications required to practice is essential and this forms a key part of the role requirements.
