I have worked in the Estate Planning industry for over 6 years now, both within estate planning companies and with a firm of solicitors and this has given me a really rounded insight and experience into the many aspects of estate planning.

I am qualified with the Society of Will Writers Estate Planning Practitioners and the Institute of Professional Will writers’. I also hold the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP)

My approach is very much to understand my clients’ circumstances and then to help them think of scenarios which they may not have considered previously and how they can protect themselves and their family and loved ones should any of these scenarios come to pass.

With 1 in 6 adults in the UK currently not having made a Will, I explain to my clients the very real threat to standard of living to those left behind where there is no Will. Many spouses and partners believe assets such as homes, pensions, savings, investment etc will automatically pass to their spouse or partner but this is simply not the case and they may find themselves not able to access enough money for day to day living costs and funeral expenses until matters are sorted through probate.
